Description
The New Canaan Corridor is a vast, sparsely populated region of space between the Empire of Japan and the Democratic Federation. Rapidly growing in importance as each power maneuvers to consolidate its holdings within the region, the Corridor is also attracting private enterprise as the economic potential of several of its systems is realized.
As is frequently the case within the border systems, the worlds of the New Canaan Corridor have become a haven for a large piracy element and other criminal organizations. The convergence of freelancers, bounty hunters and private military groups to combat this threat have given the entire region an unsavory reputation.

Loving this. I have come up with a star system of my own too. Although it really consists of one system being a pure mix of everyone and everything called The Mixed were the governing body mostly is shared between The Goliad Empire, The Freelancer Society, and What is left of Earth Gov. The next is of course The Goliad Empire which is the most vast of the star systems because the alien race of super beings known as Goros which are your typical so tall always shining their stage light aliens who "have found great enlightenment & knowledge and have transcend all things" stick. But instead of being A Covenant rip off. They are actually okay if a bit preachy and micro management of the species they want to "enlighten". They have proxy leaders who "speak their voice". Much like how that Speaker guy from Destiny but are not boring or useless. They are of course an alien race named The Liads hence the name. In the years before they made their way to Earth they have brought forth 60BILLION sentient species into the bigger universe. :I Some of which really would have liked to stay out of it or just never been brought to the rest of the universe in the first place but >w> they don't speak about that.
Next is the system only known as the Split. Which consist of various planets operated & or "owned" by various pirate clans, crime syndicalists, and slaver orgs.
Earth gov. is what is left of whatever governing body made it through the destruction of Earth. You see. 20 Years ago Earth got tagged teamed by 5 of the enemy systems of The Goliad Empire and of course got destroyed rather completely. Now with only 3 billion in total of the species of humanity left they have just scattered across many planets and galaxies with the governments laying claim to them or the ones who were SMART joined up with The Goliad Empire. The govs. that live on are American, Russian, UK, Japan, Eyqept, and Turkey who joined up with the empire in their star system. The rest being China, Australia, Germany, Brazil, and Italy. Who just went off to be independent.
